UP-N-ATOM LLC Accelerates Sales Growth with Focus on Dealer Development

UP-N-ATOM LLC (UNA) has enjoyed success selling its Retriever truck bed on a factory-direct basis with units currently operating in 29 States and 3 Canadian Provinces. "Our direct sales model has been successful, demonstrated by the fact that over 30% of our sales have been to repeat customers or multiple unit sales," said Joe Simons, UNA's President. "We are now well positioned to take the next step in growing our business by establishing a nationwide dealer network".

With the signing of nine new dealers covering 12 states and 1 Canadian province since August, UNA is quickly establishing a local market presence in key metropolitan areas. Company officials anticipate their sales channel expansion will result in a network of approximately 55 full service dealers by the end of 2009. "Our dealer development goals are definitely aggressive," continued Simons. "However, our organizational structure and all internal process have been enhanced to support this strategic growth initiative and meet the needs our new business partners".

Recognized as Lift & Access magazine's Product of The Year in 2006 and runner up in 2007; Retriever truck beds offer unique product attributes and an innovative design that have made the line appealing to equipment dealers looking to expand or complement their current product offerings. "We have a world-class product and now we are in the process of developing long-term relationships with established businesses that have a track record of providing outstanding sales and support within our target geographic regions," added Simons.

Graywell Equipment, Oakdale, New York, became an UNA dealer in October. "We have been very impressed with the Retriever product line and its innovative approach to equipment transport. With this addition to our portfolio, we continue our 25-year history of representing products of the highest quality." said Greg Noone, Graywell's Vice President/Sales. "We're eager to provide our New York Metro and Long Island area customers with an equipment transportation solution that is safe and efficient and that ultimately will improve their bottom line."

Don Bates, President of D.C. Bates, Hopedale, MA who joined with UNA in September commented: "Our entire sales team was impressed with Retriever's unique and innovative solution to equipment transport. Over the past 23 years we've been very careful in selecting which manufacturers we represent and I am very comfortable establishing a relationship with UP-N-ATOM."

The Retriever truck beds offer a variety of options and configurations with capacities from 7.5 to 18 tons and lengths from 20 to 28 feet. Each model has Retriever's innovative, patented, air operated, curved and hinged non-skid deck and offers the optional No-Idle System™, an easy and inexpensive way to help comply with anti-idling regulations. "And we haven't stopped innovating," said Simons. "Our goal remains to provide customers with the capabilities they need to make equipment transport more efficient and less costly."
